Cora Honing has been the Director of Information and Support for the Dutch Cancer Society since 2000. In her current capacity she is responsible for the national cancer information services for patients and relatives, (e.g., the cancer help-line, information via the internet and print, and for cancer prevention programmes). As a member of the management team of the Dutch Cancer Society she is involved in the overall policy-making of the organization.
Cora Honing started her career as a radio technician at the Dutch Cancer Institute/Antoni van Leeuwenhoekziekenhuis, worked for several years for the University of Utrecht, Department of Epidemiology, and has been working for the Dutch Cancer Society since1984 at the Department of Information and PR.
Cora Honing is a registered social worker and holds a MA of psychology from the University of Amsterdam. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of European Cancer Leagues since 2003.
