The world of cancer information
ICISG AND UICC COLLABORATION
The International Cancer Information Service Group (ICISG) and the International Union Against Cancer (UICC) are partners in an effort to strengthen the delivery of cancer information.
The ICISG is an independent network of more than 50 cancer information and support services from 35 counties formed in 1996 to help cancer organizations throughout the world establish and deliver cancer information services.
The UICC is the only international non-governmental organization dedicated exclusively to the global control of cancer. Its vision is of a world where cancer is eliminated as a major life-threatening disease. Uniting 340 cancer-fighting organizations in over 100 countries, the UICC is a resource for action and a voice for change.
With a shared commitment to providing cancer information and support services, ICISG and UICC have worked together on several projects that will be promoted and shared among the memberships of each organization.
Since November 2004, both organizations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that formalizes the commitment to work together.
