Opening remarks and adoption of minutes of meetings (Anne)

• Anne V welcomed everyone and introduced the agenda.
• Minutes of July 9th General Meeting of Members were approved.
• Minutes of July 10th ICISG Board meeting were adopted.
• Irene M will send the minutes to ICISG members by listserv and be post them on the ICISG website.

CIS Course

• Evaluation results from the pre-conference course were very good. Presentations got high ratings but improvement is needed for some of the exercises.
• ICISG will need to determine procedures for registration for next course.
• ICISG will determine if a one or two courses should be offered.
• AV and IM to make a list of organizations who need help from ICISG

CIS Tool Box

• As of end of September, there were 21 registered users for the Tool Box. Resources had been accessed 23 times.
• IM to send members via list-serv a reminder to register for the Tool Box.

Strategic Plan

• ICISG board members have volunteered to write sections of the strategic plan:

• AV will follow up with Doreen, Catherine, Silvia and Francesco

Relationship with UICC

• CT and AV will meet in November to discuss and develop new MOU with UICC.
• CT and AV will identify and discuss budget implications for ICISG sponsorship program with Ana.
• Draft proposal will be sent to board prior to UICC board meeting in late November.

Secretariat report

• The board approved the application Society of Clinical Oncology and Cancer Research in Nigeria to become an associate member of ICISG.
• AO will provide further information on the application from Peru which will be reviewed in December.
• IM will send invoices for room rentals in Washington to board members.

UICC 2008

• Board member should suggest  ideas for next UICC conference to the board.
• ICISG proposed to UICC that a ICISG member be on the planning committee for the next cancer conference in 2008.

ICISG calendar 2007-08

• Next conference call, December 13, 2006 at 8AM Toronto time
• Next in person meeting to be in April 2007 in Rome – dates to be confirmed.
