- Opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and network.
- Access to, and sharing of resources.
- International exchange programs.
- Participate in a listserv.
Three types of membership are available:
Full members
Organizations that:
- Demonstrate they have an established evidence based Cancer Information
Service (CIS).
- Submit a copy of their philosophy, mission statement, goals, core
principles and service rationale.
- Meet ICISG minimum
standards, as confirmed by a majority vote of ICISG Board.
Associate members
Organizations that
- Are working towards establishing a cancer information service (CIS).
- Submit a copy of their philosophy, mission statement, goals, core
principles and service rationale within three years of application.
Expert members
Organizations that:
- Demonstrate more than 5 years experience of significant involvement
with established CIS.
- Submit a portfolio of experience and expertise.
- Demonstrate a commitment to sharing expertise and furthering ICISG
goals.
Members of ICISG must follow ICISG minimum
standards and operational guidelines
for their cancer information
